 I’m tama, In the 1980’s I loved my 35 mm camera, my first photography assignment - the cutest little terrier dog ever and her owner at Lakeside park, cool. From college courses, spending lots of time in the dark room. And a time when those Black and White pictures ruled the day. I was there.
Before too long it was Studio heaven, For the next 10 years I got to blow bubbles, make people smile and watch families come in all dressed up. I photographed those yearly Large family Christmas pictures in November where 27 people squeezed in on a 12 foot background, taking on thousands of portraits and photographing those really Cool Seniors with that serious look and class ring pose to the chin, or the famous GQ look with jacket swung over their shoulder. Seniors and children were always so fun. I always tried new things, telling myself no picture should ever look the same. Shooting on the more edgy side. I loved using the powerful electric fans to blow back hair for that wind blown look , with an slightly opened mouth no smile, and a plain stare away from the camera. I tried everything in that room. As a studio manager/photographer I experienced tons and tons of posing, flourished creatively - and totally worked for thinking outside the box. I loved it.
1991 I began shooting exclusively Weddings, Weddings felt happy and filled with emotion. The idea of shooting on location was exciting and more challenging then inside those four studio walls. I love the world opened up like this. I could plain do anything, see anything , photograph anything, anyway I want, and then capture the love and emotion of the happiest days of a couples life. Cool.
Today I have photographed close to 1000 weddings, and have been so blessed meeting hundreds of couples and sharing in their special stories. Life has been so full, photography is my vision, in national magazines, CD’s covers, and I have even been known to photograph a couple celebrity weddings along the way. It’s about creating artistic, unique images that reflect the people, atmosphere and events in an artistic form of storytelling from beginning to end, My number one priority is that you will LOVE YOUR IMAGES. And that I document your Unforgettable, Timeless, Moments with the finest details that weave the fabric of your Wedding day.
Yeah, things have really changed over the years, I used every kind of camera available at the time, now it’s my high-end Digital cameras- amazing, I love change. Today I look so forward to a new and exciting – everything. It’s not always been easy, but worth every image. And I love it.
